If you haven’t registered to vote yet, now is the time. It’s easy, quick, and you can request a voter registration application on-line. October 4, 2008 is the last date to register without showing up in person. Here’s the link:

The Registrar of Voters should be able to answer all you voter-related questions, and you can find out about your voting options, Early Vote dates and locations, how to vote by mail, and your Primary and Election Day polling sites.

Important election year dates
- July 12: Last day to register to vote or to update your registration for the Primary Election without having to appear in person at the Election Department.
- July 13-22: You can register to vote or update your registration in the Election Department offices.
- July 26 – August 8: Early Voting Period voting period for the Primary Election when you can vote at various locations throughout Clark County.
- August 5: The last day to for the Election Department to receive a written request for a vote-by-mail ballot for the Primary Election.
- August 12: Primary Election Day and the final day to vote in the primary election
- October 4: Last day to register to vote or to update your registration for the General Election without having to appear in person at the Election Department.
- October 5 – 14: You can register to vote or update your registration in the Election Department offices.
- October 18 – October 31: Early Voting Period voting period for the General Election when you can vote at various locations throughout Clark County.
- October 28: The last day to for the Election Department to receive a written request for a vote-by-mail ballot for the General Election.
- November 4: General Election Day and the final day to vote in the general election.
